To Veach's credit, he was probably informed in no uncertain terms that Peters would not be playing for the Chiefs in 2018-2019, and he did the best he could.
The real fault here has to lie with some combination of Dorsey (who drafted him), Reid (who went along with drafting him and couldn't bring him around), and Hunt (who likely had something to do with this due to off-the-field issues). |

Nope. Andy and John deserve immense criticism. They told us this wouldn’t happen.

to be fair, they said the same thing about Hill and Kelce too. So far anyway, they didn’t blow those iffy picks.

You think they are going to say that this is a fifty-fifty gamble but he may be a future HOF? I doubt it. You gamble on enough of these type of players some will pay off, see Tyreek Hill, some don't. It sucks losing a top 5 corner. But KC got 3 really good years out of a player on a rookie contract and got a second rounder back. It wasn't like they spent a first on a player who eventually got cut without ever really seeing the field. |

So the Chiefs didn’t fly someone out to check his character? They didn’t assure us that he was a coaches kid that loves the game and that he was a passionate player whose troubles were behind him?

This is on Marcus Peters AND Chris Ballard. Ballard was the guy that gave the thumbs up.

Peters created the situation. I think we are being way too nice to absolve this organization for not dealing with it at the right time. |

Yeah, I could see that. And, knowing that they were the only team willing to take Peters, they (the Rams) sat right dead on the "cat bird" seat. |
