Again, this is pure speculation.

If Peters didn’t have any altercations with fans, players or the coaching staff in 2018, the Chiefs would likely receive a 3rd Comp Pick in 2019.

Furthermore, Peters would be allowed to choose his team.

How would you feel if Peters was a Raider, Charger or Bronco for years on end?

From a pure football perspective, I am absolutely not a fan of this trade. But my better judgment says that if the Chiefs had no intention of picking up his 5th year option and no intention of signing him to a long term extension, at least they were able to choose his destination, which is out of the AFC and AFC West in particular.

They’re also receiving far better compensation than a late 3rd round 2019 draft choice and at minimum, 33 slots ahead of a 3rd round Comp pick, which are usually between 97-106, along with a 4th this year.

It’s a damn shame that the Chiefs felt they needed to part with Marcus Peters but in the end, it could have been a lot worse.

If we got a a 3rd round 2019 pick through FA, at least he played for us in 2018. plus we have an option for 2019. We sold him at the bottom of the market.

When it's all said and done...this scenario only happened because CHunt is a spineless turd. He valued the opinions of racist, couch patriots and the faux-wholesome appearance of his product more than winning. He had to protect the image of the fake anthem celebration, also, as he was being payed, covertly, by the DOD to do so...that's some shady shit.

You can blame Peters...but under all the layers of horseshit, Chunt being a greedy corporate weasel with no soul is the root of the issue.

This team will never win anything as long as the Hunts own it....

THIS!!!! Yeah, keep him for a year, let him walk and then play against him two times a year against Oakland and watch him and Beast Mode dance for 30 minutes on the sideline whenever they squeak out a win against us. No thanks!
