You might be right, but I don't see how her commands much more. He doesn't have the history of production to back it up. Hope the Chiefs won't be the ones overpaying him.

I’m going to go way out on a limb here - Watkins will sign for a LOT more than Fulton.

He’s getting double $6M, at the very least. He’s also that talented, and the market is hot so it’s going to be high.

Excuses.

Bowe produced fairly well while playing with shit QB's. Lots of receivers do.

The common reason given for that was he/they are force fed the ball because of a 1-read QB and a lack of options.

So what's Sammy's excuse? He too was the best option playing with a 1-read QB.

$9-10M per is not unreasonable, IMO.

With that said, someone may blow that out of the water to get the deal done.

Good love the attitude. Reminds me of last few years where our defensive line just stands around with their hands on their hips as they get their shit pushed in.

In Watkins' defense, I think it HELPS that he's not a high-volume guy.

We're looking for a taller guy opposite Tyreek Hill without sacrificing too much burner speed.

Look at Watkins' YPC. That's what we want.

We have Kelce and Hunt for volume. We want to continue challenging teams deep and with speed so we can get them more volume. Maybe Robinson gets in on that share. Or Chesson/Conley. But in the meantime, we want Watkins as that extra threat. Or a dude like him.

1) Buffalo was and remains a run heavy offense.

2) Tyrod Taylor is the closest thing to Alex Smith other than himself. Constantly misses reads and protects the football.

3) Goff is a robot who executed throws exactly how McVay designs it more often than not. They used Watkins primarily in the RZ.

Just watch the Chiefs game against Buffalo a couple years back. That’s what Watkins is capable of when the QB gives him opportunities steadily.
