Last year was a one-of-a-kind, so let's hope the luck carries over to this year, with Brett Veach at the helm for the first time.

Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").

Football's a violent game but QB is the one position where you worry when you have an over emotional guy like Mayfield. You definitely want a guy with swagger, but you usually want the more calm, cold, calculating guys like the Mannings or Brady or Russell Wilson, someone who rarely loses their cool.

Mayfield gets compared to Manziel, and I didn't like Manziel for the same reason... fun as heck to watch when they're scrambling around so fans fall in love with them, but they just don't fit that mold.

Yeah, I agree. I still remember him going off on the KU game when KU players refused to shake his hand on the pre-game coin flip. On the flip side though, he can definitely back it up. Of course, this is in college. The NFL? Well, let's just say its going to be a different situation than it is in the Big XII.
