****The 2018 NFL Draft Thread**** (No Spoilers)

Let's ****ing do this.

Last year was a one-of-a-kind, so let's hope the luck carries over to this year, with Brett Veach at the helm for the first time.

Rules:
1. No spoiled picks in this thread, all weekend. This means that as tweets are leaking picks a few minutes before the selection is announced live, you don't post it in this thread (ex: embedded tweets), reference it in this thread (ex: Joe Slapdick says it's McCaffrey to Tampa) or hint at it (ex: "it's a RB!").

Don't be a dick.

Otherwise, have fun, talk shit, freak out and lose your goddamned minds. It's Draft Weekend. The hot takes in these threads are so funny.

I'll also be starting threads for each of our picks as they are made, with videos and notable stats/takes in the OP. Pure knee jerk gold to reference in the future.

*Note: For 2017 hilariousness, view that thread here.

I’m sure he’ll fit good in our sub packages. Not sure as a 2nd round pick but whatever.

Please. If I recall your screen name correctly, you're not one of the many dozens of reeruns here ... but this is a straight reerun take. The only thing internet draft lists have been good for since they became a thing is whiffing. Every. Single. Year. Without fail.

The worst thing is, they're all shitty copies of each other. If Mayock and 1 or 2 other dudes had Derwin James at 15 or so, every other POS ranking would, too. And then guess what? Suddenly he's not the steal of the century. In reality, the NFL unanimously grades him the same (i.e. no one takes him top 10, and no one trades up when he starts sliding).

I used to get so hyped or angry about draft picks. Then I realized this shit is a ****ing lottery -- and that's from the guys who actually know what they're doing. The talking heads and internet nerds? Well that's just pure fiction. All these people pretending they have ANY clue who's good or not is hilarious. Especially judging interior OL or similar. That's always been the funniest. "Yeah man, I've totally spent 100 hours studying this Northern Iowa 6th round center prospect. He's such a steal man, yeah."

I would honestly trade a 4th and a 2nd next year to get back into the 2nd round.

Wowza... didn't expect that. I was higher than probably anyone on Speaks (except maybe Direkshun) and had him at 78 in my "what I want" mock, but even I didn't expect the Chiefs to grab him at 54 much less trade up to 46 for him. I like him alot, but leaving Oliver and Reid on the board for him does have me scratching my head. Let's hope a good player falls to the 3rd, can still move up from there.

Absolutely. No way of knowing how the transition from College to the NFL will be, either. These guys have all played a decent amount of scrubs in College. In the NFL - every swinging Richard out there is as good, if not better than you.

Some guys shine in the environment - some guys become "dim".....only time will tell.
