Asked if Berry would be ready to go on Sunday in Los Angeles, coach Andy Reid was non-committal.

“We’ll see,” he said Monday. “It’s day-to-day. We’ll see how it goes.”

I'll be honest, this is the type of thing that concerns me. I feel like we were told Berry and Houston were day-to-day in previous years then later we find out that there was more there we didn't know. Now in this case, Berry is coming back from injury if he's not ready for game one just tell us I'd prefer not to kick the can down the road every week.

I will say this, I think its time for Berry to rework his deal. I'd prefer he stay a Chief, but he has to be available.

Yep. But, not having full disclosure regarding player status is nothing new for the NFL.

Oh well. I expected the Chiefs to lose this game anyway.

Chargers are definitely the favorite in the AFC West this year.

They're gonna have to at some point in the next couple years to be able to afford to pay Tyreek's and Mahomes new contracts when they come due . . . .

On the bright side, the Bolts have another year of nasty injury-bug-bites to help counter any potential loss. Will just be a higher scoring battle. That's what fans apparently want anyway!

Another injury to Berry or Houston is not really 'Oh well'. We have 34 million in cap space tied up between those 2 players this year, 37m in 2019, 32m in 2020.

As an example of how much we are on the hook with Berry. If we were to cut him this year it would create 27m in dead money.
