Bailey has 5 sacks too.

This D-line is a wrecking crew on par with some of those 90s Chiefs d-lines.

Who was it this preseason saying that Bailey sucked and we should just cut him and put a JAG up there and do just as good or better?

I still don't think Bailey is worth retaining, he's gotten sacks this year but not really played that well in my opinion.

Just checked and PFF gives him a 57.5 grade for the season as well, so they also think he's pretty replaceable.

Many of us never stopped, his drafts have produced like krazy

He is an excellent judge of athletic potential - period

We can recognize that fact, and still marvel at his awful contracts... and interpersonal skills, apparently

Wow. I wouldn't have guessed that about Bailey.

Just shows how well they're playing off each other. I really think it's all starting with Ford taking that edge. He's been absolutely insane and a real gamechanger.

Arrowhead will give us a huge advantage in the playoffs with that pass rush.

Wouldn't it be awesome to see Bailey at RDE and Jones at LDE but with both Nnadi and Williams as defensive tackles playing along side each other in a 4-3? They are getting home now, but they would be even better if we used a 4-3.

With Ford and Houston rushing the QB as well when Sutton doesn't have them in pass coverage? Imagine the twists, and games that Sutton could call with those 6 guys. It would allow for easier blitz packages, and side overloads, and could even confuse opposing QBs and offensive lines as to who was going to drop back in zone pass coverage and who was rushing.

I hate Bob Sutton, and think he is crap because he can't adapt to his personnel very well, but the biggest reason I want a change at DC is because I want a different scheme instead of the 3-4. I just don't think we have the personnel to play 3-4.

Yeah, the defense looks good at home, against bad teams, but both the Browns and the Cardinals were in the game much longer than they should have been, and mostly because we can't stop the run. A 4-3 with our personnel could help solve that issue.

So our 3-4 is second is sacks and you want to get rid of it? Especially when the guy creating most of the havoc is a straight 3-4 guy?

If we can get a good ILB most of our run defense problems will be over. We don't need to be great or even good against the run. If we're even average against the run, we can dominate games seeing as teams have to abandon the run in games to keep up with us.

We are getting to the QB, but we are giving up 5.1 yards per carry. Denver, Cleveland, and Arizona showed the league that running the ball against our defense can be a good offensive strategy, and a great help to the defense by limiting our offensive possessions.

If we have 3 down linemen and one LB rushing the QB with success, adding a 4th down linemen wouldn't hamper our ability to pressure the QB at all.

But our ability to stop the run could help our offense possess the ball on more possessions, and with that it would more than likely allow us to score more points and put pressure on the opposing team to pass, and with an extra rusher on each play we could be much more varied in our attack of the QB.

Everyone can talk about how this is a passing league, but stopping the run in the playoffs will be a must. If Chubb and Johnson almost ran for 100 yards, Gurley in that Rams offense may run for close to 200. The Rams and McVay won't be adverse to running the ball down our throats even if they are down.

Giving up 5.1 yards per carry isnt something we can continue to do and have the playoff success we all want.

Wanna know who is worse against the run than us? That team you keep talking about. So worst case scenario, we get into an old school 1980s shootout and just run every play.

At the end of the day, teams HAVE to pass against us. You have no choice with the way we can score the ball. Theres a reason why despite being so bad against the run, teams are only running 24 times a game against us (10th in the league). Our offense is a rush defense. It forces teams to abandon the run.
