I'd rather discuss how Kasdan's "The Big Chill" was a ripoff of Sayles' "Return of the Secaucus 7." He'll deny it, but Larry has been caught in other professional lies. Discuss...

Fascinating. Either way American Graffiti gave us Happy Days, the first two seasons of which were all-time great television.

Which in turn brought Laverne and Shirley, and we're back full circle.

Happy Days was actually first an episode of Love American Style.

Huh. Didn't know that. And didn't Mork and Mindy start in the Happy Days show? Or at least it seems that way in my old mind.

Yeah. That was a really weird one-off plot.

Garry Marshall's kid saw Star Wars and asked 'daddy, why can't we have aliens on Happy Days.' That created Mork.

Pam as Mindy was originally a nun in another sitcom in development that went nowhere. Garry knew Pam was talented, . . . and Robin was talented, . . . and Mork was popular, . . . and Star Wars was a thing. So he snorted a mountain of blow and pitched Mork and Mindy.

Not sure how true that all is, but it does sound possible!

FWIW, I loved Mork and Mindy. Easily in my top 10 shows, possibly top 5. I would have to give that some thought?

I remember that episode. That was basically when every Happy Days plot was ‘Ritchie gets into trouble, and the Fonz comes to his rescue’. Mork was the bad guy in that episode that dueled with the Fonz.
