Why would you hope tyreek gets the kid? From the audio itself he says he wishes they didn't have kids and that she could have him. Also, many accounts here claim that he generally ignores the kid while playing video games and that's when he's not busy with the NFL life which is about 8 months of the year. The kid would be getting raised by someone else anyway, he'd be better off with someone else. And that's without considering any possible discipline issues tyreek may employ.

Even from a purely football perspective I bet tyreek would be better able to focus on football without a kid at home. (Although he played pretty well this past year with at least some of this drama having to have started during the season)

If you havent leaned to take context into this by now you wont be able to follow along.
It's not the kid he doesnt want. Proven by other things he says in the same conversation. Proven by Instagram, snapchat and interviews.
He didnt want her, I would also add that as a first time father who was spanked as a child he has to learn proper discipline, no father on this planet automatically knows how to. You personally may not agree with spankings, I personally do.
I also understand that time out works for some kids, and sometimes it simply does not.
