He's played 1 position his entire career and he's injury prone, it's not exactly a great recipe as a backup. Backup OL usually need to be able to cover several spots.

100% this, been saying it all off-season.

The guy isn't making this team. He's totally done as a player. They'll eat his salary if they have to. You can't keep a backup OL that can literally only play one position and isn't even that good at it. Too much depth on this roster to keep him just because of the salary.
