Holy ****ing shit, there is no way I would go to a “bone cracker” to fix something like that. If a chiropractor is delving into those fields they are nuts.

I’ve flown several around and am friends with one. All they do is crack bones.

I had no idea about the other stuff.

I had some serious sciatica problems several years ago and a friend of mine insisted that i go see his chiropractor. It was like visiting a witch doctor. I took my shirt off, he poked around in various spots on my chest and back and declared that I had three different ailments, all of which were unrelated to back pain. At one point the guy pinched a spot on my lower back and said I had liver problems.

His advice about my sciatica was to sleep perfectly flat on a hard surface. For the record: this is horrible horrible advice.

The guy was a total loon.

These chiropractor posts always good for a laugh. My profession has earned a lot of the criticism.

Nut...not much a chiropractor could do in that area to result in the kind of pain you're describing outside of maybe cracking a rib. But you'll have pain with that injury regardless of sitting, prone, supine, etc. You'll feel it with deep breaths and any torso rotation.

There are always exceptions/rare weird shit but seeing them in person would be best way to pinpoint any possibilities.
And this would the difference between knowing doctors (me) or being a doctor, or at least married to one? I can’t remember exactly (you).

My wife is a doctor but I might even have a slight edge over her on a few things as an Ultrasound tech I can cheat a little by looking inside lol. Renal colic / biliary tree are one of the most asked for investigations through the ER.

I went to a chiropractor as a teenager because my back kept ****ing up. He swore he could tell if you were allergic to something by holding it to your chest while you resisted him pressing down on your outstretched arm.

Ummmm…sure.

There are quacks in every profession, I assume some people might think I’m am a quack by offering saliva or gel for breast ultrasounds.

I actually shadowed a chiropractor for a day towards the end of school that did something similar...pretty sure it's referred to as Applied Kinesiology. He'd have you put a can of coke in your hand, and then try to push down on your outstretched arm. Then he'd put some supplement he sold in the same hand and do the same, but your arm wouldn't drop.

Here's a hilarious video to demonstrate the kind of chiropractor you should avoid:

When I had it my pancreas was basically trying to digest itself. Worst pain I have ever had.
