Yeah that's not true. The schedules have a formula that goes years in advance. You can literally look right now at the Chiefs schedule the next 3-4 years.

It just worked out that Manning got hurt when it had rotated around to New England getting the home games for 2-3 years in a row based on the formula. These are all the Manning/Brady regular season games once they went to the current divisions:

2003 - @ IND
2004 - @ NE
2005 - @ NE
2006 - @ NE
2007 - @ IND
2008 - @ IND
2009 - @ IND
2010 - @ NE
