Has anyone ever traveled on Greyhound before?
My job wants me to travel and I was thinking of taking greyhound as I'm not a big fan of flying. How awful is it?

I am headed to Montreal next week for business. Because I live in a shitty location (Wichita), I have to fly to Dallas and then to Montreal. Same thing on the way home: Montreal-Dallas-Wichita. Drives me ****ing nuts, but still better than a Greyhound Bus

Try living in Iowa. To get anywhere from Des Moines, you either have to go through O'Hare or Detroit. I've actually been stranded overnight in Detroit.

United goes out of Des Moines, right? At least I'd be headed in the right location if I went through ORD or DTW. I've just grown impatient with travel in my old age. Everytime I do a trip like this, it reminds me that I should be enjoying retirement instead of doing stupid work-shit like this

The problem with connecting at O'Hare is that anymore, it's almost a guarantee you're going to miss your next flight. It's a ****ing mess over there.

I've been lucky as of late.

When I was working mostly in Charlotte, Des Moines had a direct because of Wells Fargo.

Now that I work mostly in DC, I can get a direct flight to Reagan.

Before the Wells Fargo merger, I had to fly to Charlotte through either Chicago or Memphis. I usually got Memphis but it wasn't always possible.
