Let's talk about the Bengals

A sneaky big game in the AFC, and probably our toughest game left before playoff time.

Talk about it here

So have we, except for Josh Allen. We lost that game. Burrow will be easily the best QB we've faced besides Allen. Most people here think Herbert and Carr are nothing special. The Titans/Rams basically had two college QBs. Smartasses can argue we lost to a team with Matt Ryan as QB (we did). Brady is having an off year. So is Murray compared to last season. Lawrence is still young. Jimmy G is a punchline of jokes.

This argument about not having played anybody is lame. Not sure why people still make those comments. Not like we've played against a prime Manning, Brady, Favre, and Montana every game this year.

How is it possible it’s Wednesday and he doesn’t even know the name of their top WR?

Clearly a brain fart, nothing weird about it at all.

It reminds me of when that bengals fan on Twitter tried to claim kc fans are bandwagoners before they met mahomes. It’s not like Cleveland where they would sacrifice their first child for a Super Bowl.
Nothing like us neither one has ever won a super bowl

They know their CBs aren't that good, that they don't have much of a pass rush, and they're praying that the same defensive scheme they used last season will work again somehow. That, and they're all-in on Burrow and Chase somehow scoring 40. Apparently, none of them have seen the Chiefs pass rush in recent weeks.

Some of them think that Zac is the equivalent of Andy as a schemer and play-caller, and that this will be some kind of chess match. this seems a tad over-zealous to me.

this Chiefs team is very different from the team that played CIN last season, and not just the personnel. This defense is much faster and more athletic, just not quite as experienced as the crew from last year. Spags will be able to play their offense differently this time around, so long as everyone stays healthy.

And finally, Andy and Pat will not let off the gas in this one. They'll have learned their lessons from last year, and they'll play full speed from opening whistle to the final bell in this one.
Also Mahomes won't be throwing the game this time. (Ducks)

He knew who he was talking about. He said #88.

He was talking about Hurst. He got him mixed up with his assignment from last week, Higbee. It was the reporter who said Higgins.

Many players, and coaches, are much better with #s than names. It's easier in terms of watching film.

Every football coach I ever had and the overwhelming majority of teammates (essentially anyone that wasn't friends with the person they were talking to) referred to the players by number.

And it wasn't even 'Eighty-Eight'

It was "Eight Eight".

This is very much nothing.

The thread has been up for three days and is only 102 posts. It's only a matter of time before it's surpassed by either the Joplin or Liver King threads. I think the CP pots and pans thread got more hits.

Seems like Bengalsboard is dying.
