*****OFFICIAL 2022 Border War Hoops and HATE Thread

Alright y’all! We got a game this Saturday. The reigning National Champion Jayhawks are as self-righteous as ever and coming to Columbia, where the Tigers look like they could have their best coached team since the Obama administration. Self is still figuring out his rotations (to a painful degree), and in Columbia anything can happen.

This thread can also be used to talk football and how this rivalry is oh so dead, which is why a bowl game that is not happening has arguments spilling over into Mizzou threads, KU threads, college football threads, and twitter and facebook wars all over my feed.

Join me and let’s all talk about how this game doesn’t matter anymore and all angrily ask why I’m missing asterisks in the thread title.

I get that Kansas fans are excited about their first .500 win season since the Bush administration, but let’s not overlook the fact that they lost 6 of their last 7 games, mostly in blowout fashion. They had a decent first half of the season, but they seem to be trending back downward again.

That’s not KU hate or MU stupidity. Those are just facts. I can’t help it those facts make some people uncomfortable and they don’t like to hear it.
What do past years and past coaches have to do with this team and the future?

They won more games this season than the last three combined, even with the starting QB going down halfway through the year, and you’re claiming they’re not trending up. Can’t make this stuff up.

I am happy with not playing missouri. I just find it hilarious that missouri were cowards and took a lessor bowl to not have the chance to lose to ku. It really made my day. Have fun at your half empty bowl game. Missouri really missed the mark on their football and basketball hires.

You gotta hand it to Chiefaroo. At least he didn't go hide under a rock until Wichita State becomes good again. Though his trash talking does seem hollow now. Maybe he'll start being like MU fans and just be a fan of whichever team is playing KU.

A lot of the "WSU" fans here in Wichita from when Gregggggg had that lucky stretch where unranked guys turned out to be drastically under recruited have already pivoted back to KU pretending they never left.

Coming from you that's rich, considering you and your Beaker friends had been posting in the Mizzou football thread for a solid week.

You know, that university that's irrelevant and you guys don't care about . . . . .

Well, Leipold was your coach last year too, no?

I wouldn't call losing 6 of your last 7, mostly by double digits, trending up, but if you do then by all means . . . . . .

Don't let little ol me spoil things for you.

Glad Mizzou could make a KU fan's day. You're welcome.

I went the "root for the team my family hates" route, heh... my dad's side of the family is originally from St Louis, so several MU grads, Cards fans. Started rooting for KU back in the Danny Manning days and my dad actually flipped to being a KU fan because of me.

Nice we could have this thread after all these years.

Gave Missouri football fans something to talk about with the whole dodging KU thing, which I'm sure boosted that thread into relevance for a week.

Huge week for Missouri hoops, being on TV and giving the antler douches something to do.

If there's anything else Kansas sports can do for ya'll, you know where to find us!
