Jacksonville also presold AFCCG and divisional round playoff tickets. I would guess that was the case for most of the playoff teams.

So in the current format, this benefits the #2 seed. They would get 2 home games, and #1, #3, #4 seeds would each only get one home playoff game. I still think the bye week is more important than an additional home game.

If this happens, it will be 1-2 more years after that at most until the first seed doesn't even get a bye anymore. They'll add an 8th team and everyone will have to play 3 games to get to the Super Bowl, and the conference championships will be basically mini-Super Bowls.

They just won't stop until people stop watching and buying, which they never will. The NFL has an unstoppable machine at this point. It's just nuts.

This is the NFL admitting that the AFCCG is likely to be hosted at Arrowhead for the next 10+ years, thus they need to do something to prevent that.
