Those guys actually kind of know football. These quotes are astute and must be intensely painful for them.

Dismantle the Chiefs? The Bills literally created the Chiefs.*

It turned out to be a solid deal for both parties, but if Mahomes goes on to be a top-3 all time QB (or even the best ever), that trade probably becomes the most famous/consequential draft day trade of all time, passing even the Herschel Walker trade.*

I'm not sure I'd call that famous trade "a solid deal for both parties". The Bills got some good players, but the outcome is as lopsided as a trade can get.

Gotta love the honesty (although misspelling of Veach could out as a CP plant):

The Chiefs are going to be a dynasty team. They have everything the Pats had and more.

Reid is an offensive genius.

Mahomes is the next Tom Brady.

GM Veech runs circles around Beane. Arguable he's the best GM in the league.

There is no stopping this team. They traded away Hill and won with a suspect young defense and sub par WRs and RBs.

The Mahomes and Allen comparasions should stop now. It's not fair to Mahomes who is wearing two rings.

The Chiefs win and know how to win! The Bills simply don't when it comes playoff time.

Next year will be more of the same.

Pacheco and McKinnon are far from "subpar". The Patriots also proved you can win without "elite" WRs and skill players.

HOF Coach and QB and a top 5 defense is usually what makes a dynasty. We're doing it without the top 5 defense which is incredible.

I'm just going to pretend Pacheco was the 1st rounder and MEH was taken in the 7th.

I think this Chiefs defense could be a top five defense if it tried to be a top 5 defense.

I think Chiefs do not try to dominate on defense because more players would get hurt and Chiefs would rather win and stay healthy than call defense to defend every inch.

The mistake in today's NFL is to try and "cover every inch." Think about it. Every top-5 defense the Chiefs have faced, Andy and Pat and Travis have destroyed. In some cases repeatedly.

And our defense keeps making just enough plays to win games. A big part of that is Spags being absolutely honest with himself about what his unit and players can and can't do. Instead of doing what every DC tries to do against KC, which is that whole "defend every inch of grass" crap. Spags takes the approach of "what can my guys do pretty well against these guys, and then how can I make it harder for them to do at least one other thing they want to do?" That's why he can keep competing with offenses that are just better than his guys. He doesn't just square up with them, he attacks the angles.

Because our defense isn't populated with enough elite talent to be a top-5 defense. We have Chris Jones and essentially his supporting cast. Oh, we have some really good to possibly great players sprinkled in there, like Bolton and Sneed, McDuffie is up and coming, etc., but we just have never had enough great players to reach that level. May never have that in the Mahomes era.

Top-10 though, I think is very doable. Next season they'll probably crack the top-10 early and stay there. A lot depends on how the DL is constructed, but with the right moves it looks pretty doable.

And some of them must not have watched a whole lot of Chiefs’ games. Knocking Kelce’s unique talents, and contributions to the team?

It is approaching the Babe Ruth trade as the most lopsoded in sports history.

Granted the Bills never drafted Mahomes but they could have backed out and did so. Kinda parallels the Red Sox trading the Bambino to NY.
