That would be GREAT if there was a X receiver worth taking but as soon as Hyatt ran his 40 I was out on that.

The other guys profile as more slot guys and I think value at 31 is going to be on the defensive line where this draft is so deep

Tackle play was a problem at times this year so I fully expect him to fix that completely. DL did pretty good last year but they are definitely thin and I see him attacking that area as well.
Yeah, it's kind of wild that KC isn't in the market for drafting another LB or CB this year. I mean, we don't really have to draft a single one. And Veach will probably draft a OT, but Andy Heck and Wylie just proved we don't need to expend real resources on RT. We play a ton of 13P, so the RT is going to get a plenty of help from a TE most of the time anyway (Hiya, Blake Bell!!!), so starting Niang and backing him up with . . . Prince/Allegretti, is probably fine in 2023.

And Spags just fielded a patch-work DL that still finished the season as one of the best pressure-producing units in the NFL, a defense that generated the 2nd-most sacks in the league, so why invest a ton of capital there, either? Easily could re-sign Carlos/Frank, draft a DE and a DT, and roll with Danna and Saunders, even Nnadi and that'd probably be fine.

The unit that needs the help is in the WR room. Veach is probably figuring out how to build up the receiving corps in this FA/draft cycle, now that the LT question has been solved.

Unless Quentin Johnson falls into our lap, I don't see us going WR in the 1st.

Maybe TE or RT, but very likely it's EDGE.

Still hoping Veach goes after Trey Pipkins at RT. 3/29-ish with a contract structure like MVS would be nice (4, 11, 14). Get a swing reserve like Josh Wells from TB to back them all up.

Add in Greg Gaines at NT and then I'm straight-up happy.

If you wanna flip for D-Hop you can still roll money from Mahomes and Kelce. Draft opens up after adding an ER.

This would be my preference, for sure.

I think there are interesting WR's likely to be there in the 2nd and 3rd that aren't much drop-off from the first rounders.

For some reason all the professional draft guys keep moving him down.

Yea, which is why I think it's worth mentioning and keeping an eye on.

I'd be all over that at 31 though. Then trade up for an EDGE.

my gf of 2 years has been a part of many of my chiefs fantasies

as for orlando, frank knows all his tricks, and half the time orlando gets wasted by anyone with a speed rush in obvious passing situations

if he is your LT, with your QB's style of play, any money you spend on him is going to be a colossal waste

No, not it isnt. Sometimes shit happens. Having the best oline vs an avg oline has such a small impact on if your QB gets injured or not that its not even worth talking about. Its just a funny narrative that fans like to think about for some reason.
