I’m still not convinced he’s concreted in as our LT till I hear it from Taylor and Veach.

If the right LT falls in the draft…

Taylor was a good pickup though. I would have liked to have gotten him or McGary.

At bare minimum, I would think Taylor is way more flexible about playing RT instead of LT. Orlando was unwilling to play RT, even on a generous $20M salary. A more flexible attitude is a welcome addition to the team.

I’ll be curious to see when Orlando Brown Jr. comes off the board. Taylor and Mike McGlinchey both got paid, and Brown is sitting there as the top tackle. My understanding is that Brown’s been adamant about staying at left tackle, rather than moving to the right side, where he played in Baltimore. It’s easy to wonder if that’s hurting his market, especially with the number of Shanahan-influenced teams that favor smaller linemen.

On a side note, Brett massacred Orlando's leverage by snatching Taylor off the market so quickly. Orlando's agent wanted to play phone tag with KC and whoever else was willing to drive the price up. Chiefs exited the conversation very early.

Now Orlando is stuck at the altar and the more time passes the worse it gets for his market. Needless to say the reports of the Chiefs being frustrated with him last year were accurate. "This isn't the guy we thought we were getting." They moved on quick.

If Anton Harrison falls to 31, which I don't think he will. I'd say we'll find out pretty quickly it's a smoke screen. Taylor is a swing tackle like Orlando at the end of the day.
