Yeah, those are the two that stand out to me the most.

I don't view cocaine as a life-ruining type of drug. Obviously it can just like most any drug out there, but I feel like the vast majority of people who do coke are just looking to keep partying; whereas, I feel like meth is absolutely a life-ruiner type of drug. I am so shocked that such a large percentage of the people who voted even considered trying meth.

Colorado is #2 in the nation for cocaine use. Behind DC. These people don’t stop well into their retirements. It is definitely not all about the party.

I grew up in southern Iowa in the 80's. My graduating class had 23 people.

There is quite literally NOTHING to do and in that day, we didn't have immersive video games, AR/VR, or even smart phones.

Meth is what happens in an environment like that. At the time I was heavy into it, it wasn't yet coming into the country from India via Mexico. Almost all of the supply was cooked here. It became so prevalent that it just became impossible to avoid. Everybody was doing it.

I sold drugs to hoodlums, starting QB's, and even one valedictorian.

I was born in St Louis, but my parents split up, and my mom moved out of the city when I was about 12. Lived in Valley Park with my mom until I was about 15 when I moved back to the city with my dad. In Valley Park, you couldn’t get coke. Well at least nobody I knew could, but meth was plentiful. I did way too much of it. My best friends sisters boyfriend was a big meth dealer. Dude had enormous amounts of it. We did it a lot as teens. A couple people I grew up with never got out of it. I was only doing it because it’s all I could get. Once I met my wife, I was pretty much done with that shit. Not done doing drugs obviously, but meth just wasn’t my thing despite doing a bunch of it. Coke, and especially extasy was my drug of choice, besides weed. And it was difficult to quit using those when the time came. Looking back on my life, I can’t believe I made it out alive.

Nowadays it’s alcohol, and weed. But looking forward to eating some shroom candy bars in Jamaica next month.
