Just read this.

Really nice write up. McDuffie is gonna be really good. I think he also makes Sneed a bit redundant.

I like Sneed's versatility with how much Spags likes to use him to rush the passer, but I'm right there with you in terms of he gives us the option to move on from Sneed if we can't get numbers to work out, though I greatly enjoy having both in our secondary.

I can see a scenario where they move on from Sneed and utilize a few players in the Sneed blitzing role (Conner, Nazeeh, even Tranqill and Chenal)... maybe the DL is improved enough that reliance on the DB blitz is diminished quite a bit. If Nic Jones is the real deal, I'd say he's definitely going to be a FA. He's definitely versatile and I love his physicality, but his pure cover skills are averageish?

Good points. McDuffie is a better pure cover corner in my opinion, but Sneed's versatility is big, especially in a game in which DCs like Spags are looking for guys that can do a bit of everything.

That being said, I personally don't think we'll resign him unless the rest of the league sees him in a worse light than we do for some reason. And in terms of Nic Jones, it's just crazy how great Veach is at drafting late in the draft, especially in the secondary. We will see.

I would be extremely surprised given the draft capital investment (McD, Williams, Watson, Naz Johnson, Connor?, Nic Jones) if Sneed receives a 2nd contract here.

I had that same thought.

This team absolutely loves Sneed, but after the Chris Jones extension gets done, they may only have like $20m to play with next offseason, and $8m or so goes to the draft class.

McDuffie can play the Sneed role. They've been trying out Nic Jones in the slot at camp as well, reportedly.

I think they're preparing for it.

When we look back on history years from now, it will be Mahomes that gets all the glory, but Brett Veach changed this franchise and this article proves it from Clark Hunt’s quotes.

He was the one that was aggressive. He was the one that changed the mindset that was rotting this franchise for decades.

Thank God this happened. We wanted this for years and years and we are now seeing the dividends of that excellent management.

I think it's just about keeping him informed because he actually cares.

He is pumping the money in and in a golden age of any franchise in worldwide sports history why would you not want to get up close to the detail of how your guys are making it happen
