And yet the Chiefs STILL should have been able to hang at least 27 points on the Lions...but Mahomes was under too much pressure. There were times last night when I was having flashbacks to the SB loss to the Bucs--sheesh. The Oline needs to gel sooner rather than later. They weren't awful, and the Lions are an ascending D, but our dudes gotta protect the franchise better.

Patrick was holding the ball too long IMHO. He doesn't seem to trust anyone other than Kelce. Gonna have to find chemistry with these other dudes. Kelce will not always be there.

He may not find chemistry with these dudes...we have a pretty shitty WR room.

The only one who makes any kind of sense in that regard is Rice and 95% of that comes from the fact that he understands what the scramble drill is since he was pretty good at it in college...

The rest of the group seems to really struggle with it but it's an instinctual thing.

Front office will need to figure it out if none of the current guys are the right answer. Long term you have to find some acceptable options.

Sadly it looks like the decision to choose Chris Jones over Tyreek Hill is not going to work out, since Jones is likely a goner. Hindsight is 20/20, but if they knew Jones would act like this...they would have already traded Jones and found a way to keep Tyreek.

So far they haven't exactly been great at finding weapons that mesh with Mahomes...

We have whiffed really hard on the higher capital spent on those positions.
