John Marston and Arthur Morgan were first ballot hall of fame pieces of shit people. They kidnapped, murdered people. They were thieves and outlaws. Now because he's decided he's bored of ventilating people for their hard earned money and wants to be a farmer, I'm supposed to be sad when Ross shows up with the army and on behalf of everyone John has killed or wronged, delivers a **** you via firing squad? Nah. Dude had every bit of that shit coming. The only thing I didn't like about John Marston dying was having to play as his son with the terrible voice actor, so I just play on a save where I don't do the boring Beechers hope faming missions. Unlimited bounties in rdr1 is sorely missed in 2. Same deal with Arthur. This career scumbag is trying to save a few other career scumbags in his gang from answering for what they've done, so now all of a sudden it's sad when he dies? I've seen all the endings, and the high honor one where he essentially drowns in his own bodily fluids as the sun rises was him getting off easy. I much prefer the low honor ends where he's either shot in the head or stabbed to death by Micah. Like, just because you went out and picked flowers and helped some stranded ladies get home after their horses died while you were controlling them for a bit, it doesn't change the fact that these guys are thieves and murderers that had every ounce of horrific violence that ended them coming. Especially the John Marston and Arthur Morgan I was playing as. Jesus that train robbery shotgun decapitation spree, I mean if someone had really done that, there's really nothing you could do to that person and feel bad about it.
