George Pickens posting "Free Me" on IG story

Also supposedly deleted all Steelers content. Unfollowed teammates, coach, and the Steelers page.

If nobody caught it last night, everybody was very happy for Diontae Johnson finally scoring a TD (hasn't since Dec of 2021), and they showed him on the sidelines sulking like a little bitch.

This dude is obviously VERY talented, but he's a ****ing headcase.

...this is probably the worst thing that could happen to the Steelers in the long run... This is just going to feed Pickens Ego that he has been right all along... It is inevitable that he will lose it at some time, and this ensures it will now be worse than it would have been.

Oh you mean like the drama honey badger introduced to the team for no good reason?

No, say what you want about our WRs, but when things go bad they dont go blaming the coach or qb.

Mahomes took a reputation hit for blowing up at Toney. Imagine having a WR who fought back. Or when we see mahomes get mad for WRs running wrong routes, imagine if his WR gave up on a play. Yeah we don’t need that shit. And mahomes doesn’t need that drama.

Reid runs the best locker room in the biz for a reason

Mahomes was yelling at the refs. Wtf are you talking about?

And whatever honey badger issues were brought in, it didn't stop us from winning so I don't get why even bring it up. We even won a Superbowl with him being a key contributor.

You keep bringing up players that either contributed to us winning and we eventually got rid off or players who didn't contribute that we got rid of. Either way, we got rid of them once they started causing any issues, just like we would with Pickens. So again, what's the issue? And yeah, Reid is known for bringing in troubled players and rehabbing them. I don't know why you're acting like he brings in angels.

I wish we were arguing about Skyys attitude right now rather than his total ineffectiveness in this offense. Wanna know what's the biggest locker room cancer? Players who actively cause your team to lose.

Bc every team in the league has a weakness. It's damn near impossible to not have one.

Be thankful our team our weakness at least has the best rookie WR in recent memory on it.

Of course, but it's okay to discuss those weaknesses and how they could have been addressed or how to address them down the line on a discussion board right?

I think he was referring to Mahomes getting mad after Toney caused the interception.

Everybody sided with Mahomes here. Opposing fans were like "finally directing his anger at the appropriate person". Etc. Mahomes didn't take a single lick of backlash from this reaction. It was the one against the Bills that people reacted to when he was yelling at the ref.

It's his 4th 100 yard game of the season and I believe it put him over 1,000 yards on the season.

You're really going to hand-waive that as 'finally had a good game...'?

Please - Pickens would be a monster here. Yes hed be worth the headache. Anyone trying to argue otherwise is selling something.

That all said - it's over. It's done.

I don't see any sense in harping on it. But it's disingenuous as hell to undersell Pickens talent and production.

Okay, I get what you're saying.

My only point was that one (Pickens) is an actual NFL-caliber WR. The other is not.

If we could choose between one that has a bad attitude but is an actual WR, and one that has a good attitude but isn't, I would take the NFL-caliber player every. single. time.

Metcalf and Pickens were never on our board... Metcalf was never ever ever considered in that draft. Higgins? We weren't taking a WR there. I don't like taking an RB there, especially in hindsight, but folks were pretty jacked at the time.

Dumb narrative.

WR:

One huge hit, one huge miss, one decent pick.

In the NFL where most teams can't draft for shit period, that's average at worst.

One of these days Veach is going to draft a total ****ing stud of a WR who is considered elite at his position. Hell, it could be Rice. When he does, I truly wonder if some people on here will continue to snidely say the shit they do about his draft record.

Pacheco and Rice are A+ picks
Skyy was an F
Clyde and Hardman are probably in the C range based on their decent numbers in our system.

Look at the rest of the league. Steelers for example drafted Chase Claypool and James Washington both in the 2nd rd in the last 5 years and they were not good picks.

Nobody is perfect in this league
