George Pickens posting "Free Me" on IG story

Also supposedly deleted all Steelers content. Unfollowed teammates, coach, and the Steelers page.

If nobody caught it last night, everybody was very happy for Diontae Johnson finally scoring a TD (hasn't since Dec of 2021), and they showed him on the sidelines sulking like a little bitch.

This dude is obviously VERY talented, but he's a ****ing headcase.

Tyreek on his worst days doesn't come close to Pickens. Think of ALL the talented WRs Pittsburgh has had in their system that had some sort of issue under Tomlin. Brown, Sanders, Wallace, Bryant, JJSS, Claypool, Johnson, and now Pickens. Feel free to go and check, but I don't think I've ever seen the players in the organization turn on any of them like they already have Pickens. The only other one is Leveon Bell, and that was due to the holdout.

And again. Reid did a ton of homework on him, in person. Top 30 visit and multiple interviews. Decided his talents weren't worth the hassle. Judging by his antics, he was probably right, but shouldn't have settled on an abysmal WR like Moore instead

Maybe? That's a big assumption though. Marcus Peters wasn't fine here. I think Pickens is even a bigger headcase than Peters and we're just scratching the surface of what he's going to become.

And I'm not saying I'm happy with Skyy Moore either, just that people are assuming the Chiefs made a mistake not taking Pickens and I think that jury is still extremely out.

Imagine Tyreek with Zach Wilson right now.

With how vocal he is, it would be worse.

And we got a 2nd round pick out of Peters.

No matter how you slice it, Pickens would have been a good addition here. At worst, he produces with us, but is a locker room issues and we have to trade him for a 1st to 3rd round pick.

What does that have to do with anything? Pickens gets his. He always has. And he's STILL a miserable **** that won't play for his teammates and makes booboo face every time someone on the offense that isn't him scores a TD.

You're so all over the place here.
No I’m not all over the place. Reid literally said when he rejected desean Jackson that he looks for very specific locker room guys. So you’re the one that’s trying to go against what Andy Reid is directly saying. Weve had plenty of shady guys but we haven’t had an awful teammate like Pickens since peters (maybe mathieu, which came late and unexpected)… and you’re so convinced it’s because Reid is some kind of rehab artist as opposed to making a specific point to avoid scouting guys who can divide the locker room.

Yeah he was a little looser in Philly until he got burned big time by TO/desean. Dorsey went a little rogue at times and continued to in Cleveland. But overall the story is generally the same especially with veach… he’s taken chances on a few midseason bandaids on prove it contracts, but when we do take longer term shots at character risks they stress how they did a LOT of homework. When you hear about the circumstances leading to drafting kelce and tyreek you hear that they did a LOT of due diligence on them. And they were right about those guys. And so far it looks like they were right about Pickens.

Would Tyreek make business decisions to not block? Or have rumors swirl about his work ethic? Those are far bigger issues than him being a diva.

I honestly don’t know how you can look at how badly Reid was burned by TO and desean and think Reid is at all willing to throw a wolf in his henhouse. Those weren’t guys he just tossed out. Those guys did years worth of damage even after they left.

I doubt any team will want to give up that much for a problem player like him. They saw the Steelers rat **** the Bears with Claypool. A lesson in trading for a troubled Steelers WR.

AB and Martavious Bryant trades also worked out poorly for the Raiders.

Going back farther, the guy they traded to Miami when they paid AB instead.
