RIP Porn Star Kagney Linn Karter

I post this because I remember Joe (Nzoner) saying he knew her — she was the daughter of a guy he knew, did business with, etc. He only knew her when she was a child.

Since you used it as a qualifier, I figured you had some way of knowing if it was OK to watch pornographic material. After all you said it's a problem if they are exploited in some way...but if it's not up to the viewer to know, then does it really matter if they are exploited? Does the user just assume it's all good and spank away?

And I agree on the buying of clothes, and that's a discussion to have as well. One thing at a time, I'm talking about pornography.

Fair enough, I guess you must have an idea for yourself what constitutes excess and what is moderation. At some point though, it seems there would be an objective standard to kind of base that off of.
So I'll pushback a little.

First a preface, 15 seconds of googling, there is some horrible shit that goes on in the porn industry. **** that.

The bad stuff is never OK. But that aside, if it's just a transaction, payment for performance, is that different than any other performance? Is Mahomes being exploited so we can get our sports rocks off? What about a movie star? There are what like 3 ugly female actresses that can work? Are the rest of them being exploited for their looks? If not where is the line? Cheerleaders? Conga dancers? Hula dancers? Strippers are almost certainly over the line.

I legitimately don't know.

Anything anybody does for money can be at some level construed as exploitation. Even us. Are you exploited for money? If you have to do some bullshit you don't want to do, are you being exploited? What about taxes. Every March I FEEL exploited.

Same with "unhealthy". I work in (I think it's been awhile since I looked) the 3rd most dangerous industry. Should all farmers stop because it's unhealthy? Seems unreasonable. If you're an office guy, sitting in an office chair all day is remarkably unhealthy. If you're a sales guy and you have a jackass customer, that's unhealthy for sure. Should salesman and accountants be banned?

I don't know the answers and I'm far from qualified to even discuss any of it. But I don't think, necessarily that porn is bad for all performers - I'm, betting there are some healthy ones out there. Obviously there are some problems for a lot of them.

On the whole I agree porn probably isn't great for anybody involved. But I have trouble saying anything is all bad. Almost exclusively there is nuance and gray area. Certainly not a hill I'm wanting to die on, but philosophically, I'm opposed to telling people they can't do shit.

She was out of porn for the most part, moved away to Ohio from LA in 2019 and ended up working as a stripper, so I don't think she was active anymore. Not sure if she had an OF but a lot of the people in the industry do both now (both male and female), and they make more, and content is owned by them. But the exposure the industry gives them catapults their OF careers.

I loved the comment of "then they realize they were just a thing".

Dude...you mean like most of the men on this message board who act like women are just objects? Even the ones who don't do porn. It doesn't matter if women are in porn or not...there is always a sector of humanity that will objectify them.

I think the key difference is whether the creator is coerced or manipulated in some way. That, to me, is the line of distinction.

As a consumer, I’m not likely to know whether or not a woman ends up in porn for one of those reasons or not so I was speaking of it specifically from the standpoint of a creator.

There’s very little in this world that’s objective. Even murder is justified when you draw an invisible line and call it war.

It's weird to me that we have this "line that can't be crossed" when it comes to sex. It feels very much to me like something that's been carried over from medieval times, and times when women were not allowed to support themselves. The main reason for prohibition, having an unsupported child, is not really relevant any more, so why is the act still viewed negatively?

I could take a contrarian view and legitimately say that being anti-porn is an anti-woman thing. We're fine paying to watch a man do feats of strength at the carnival or watching a juggler or a singer or a dancer. But this one particular talent of women, which a lot of people are obviously interested in seeing, is forbidden and viewed negatively. If that's a way for her to support herself and she doesn't mind, she should be able to do it and no one should think any more or less of prostitution or porn than being a barista or advertising person or uber driver.

It used to take effort to view porn.
And then extra effort to view the really extreme porn.

Making gagging on dicks until you puke, mainstream for money, took the romance out of it.

Also made you guys all to eager to explore areas you never would have explored if you had to go to a seedy store and slip behind a burlap curtain.

Agreed. And as mentioned earlier, I don't think that's anything specific to porn. I don't know if the lettuce in my salad was picked by trafficked labor, or whether my phone includes blood lithium. (I just made that term up.)

We don't really want anyone to be forced into an activity that doesn't provide fair economic benefit. But that's a tough line to figure out. Those Brazilian dudes down in the mud finding emeralds would probably rather be doing something else for a living, but the only jobs in their area are mining emeralds. Is that coercion or is it an unfortunate circumstance of birth relative to capitalism? One can argue either way.

And is a woman doing porn being coerced if she can make $2,000 in one day compared to making $120 behind the counter at Arby's? I would argue that it's her decision to make, not mine, and we shouldn't judge her for it.

I think the key is whether the person is making their own decision versus whether they're being forced with threats of violence or other retribution. That's obviously something no one wants to see, but I also suspect it's kind of rare in the real world. (Of course, then we get into drug addiction as an incentive, but now we're wandering further afield.)

This

Also they say the average age of viewing porn for the first time is something like 12. Not your dad's playboys stuffed in an old shoebox. Hard-core porn like she's talking about.

This is only my opinion based on limited knowledge so take it with a grain of salt...

Less young men are having sex than ever before. Women are still having sex however it's with the men in the top 10% (chads). The chads aren't having relationships with the women because they can just get sex based on their looks and status. So, the men who aren't getting swiped right in dating apps have given up and are turning to porn instead.

Once these women get used up and have a couple of kids, they start looking for a prince charming (simp) to save them.

Nice guys really do finish last. it has to be really difficult today for the average guy who has no experience meeting women.

Like a lot of things, the expanse of porn is just another symptom of the decay of society.

If I can see farther than others, it is only because I stand on the shoulders of giants.

But this relates to crazykirk's point, and I can agree. If viewing porn or performing in porn affects one's ability to form and maintain relationships, that's a problem. But again, I think that somewhat relates to the fact that porn is viewed as such an outlier. I don't see why it can't just be a genre alongside superhero comics and mystery novels and Jim Carrey comedies.

Lol at people who defend these degenerates.

Look up some of the studies of the effects of porn on young men and society as a whole. It's far more drastic than what some like to admit. People who sell their soul for money from that industry are no better than crack dealers.

What your describing is women realizing that sex feels great and they don't need to be shamed for it, or view sex through this christian lens. Women have discovered that they too can have casual sex and just enjoy it for what it is.

And when you're picking someone for casual sex, yeah, of course they're gonna pick men who are attractive and have good dick.

The average male penis is 5.5" erect. Studies show that the majority of women prefer a sexual partner to be around 7".

Having a 7" pecker would put you around the top 90-95% of men in the world, as shocking as that may sound.

So yeah....women like dick. And they like big dick that can last long enough to bring them to orgasim. And dating apps have allowed women to find those men. I feel like older generations of men are having trouble accepting this, and are failing to accept that women have strong sexual desires and once they figure out what good cock feels like, they end up chasing the dragon.

It is what it is. Life aint always fair. I was blessed, but sometimes i wonder what having a small dick, or being fat bald and ugly would do to my mental health. I got lucky.
