Andy Reid appreciation thread

The guy could easily have tried to pump his superstar QB by throwing on the goal line at the end of the game.

He did the smart thing and pounded it three times for the ****ing win.

Word to your mother, Pete Carroll.

Oh, and he has mind control over the AFC West. 18-1 in his last 19.

Love love how they threw it for a 1st down to ice it instead of just run it, then punt, and still give Buffalo a small amount of time. And there was never a really a galaxy Im kicking a 50 yard FG instead of punting and giving them less time and more yards to overcome with like 20 seconds.

Then when they adjusted and flooded the middle Andy called a fake RPO with Juju wide ass open behind the LB’s flooding the zone to cover Hollywood.

Goddamn I bet that felt good for Andy to unleash after holding it all year

Football is so strange.

As soon as I saw they'd brought Perine in for the play, I knew what the play was. It was going to be one of those patented, "If it isn't there, run it" plays for PM where you give him the option to pass for the first down or go down to keep the clock running.

The only question was left or right. And then when you saw Perine cut across the formation at the snap, you knew that the rollout was gone so you KNEW where Mahomes was going with the ball.

Maybe if Elam comes off the route, he fires it on the quick slant to Brown, but if that's the case, that defense was in an impossible situation where SOMEONE was going to be wide open.

How? How do you send 4 and still leave the RB uncovered? On the kind of play design that we all knew was coming.

Did Bernard underestimate Perine’s speed (he isn’t THAT fast)? Or just a shit angle?

It looks like he’s about to make the tackle, then had an “oh shit he’s already past me” moment.

Unfortunately, no. Looks like Bluesky's embed code doesn't cooperate with our ancient software. It just shows "placeholder!".

It was man coverage and the Bills defender assigned to Peirine got caught up in traffic. Clearly that was part of the play design.

As soon as he caught it I thought he had the first down. I did have a split second of doubt when the defender came up, but I think it was just a really good play design.

Andy showed these guys nothing in the regular season and then unleashed his bag. He absolutely saved shit for the playoffs

I think he lost where the sticks were.

It was one of those things where he knew it was 'stop him short of the sticks or bust' so I think he cut it at the steepest angle he thought he could get him at and still stop him short of the sticks.

He may not have been wrong. I'm not sure at that point there was a way to avoid him getting the 1st even if he takes a perfect angle because with a full head of steam, he drags Bernard with him and still gets the first.

Think it was a shit angle. He got through the traffic and was going flat and did not change that angle until that ball carrier was by him.

Is this guy going to go down as the best in history? I mean, let’s be serious. He doesn’t seem to be slowing down. The winning seems to drive him even harder. He has the same desire as Mahomes to be an all time great, it means something to both of them way more than guys like Allen and McDermott will ever understand.

And people say Andy is "soft" because he doesn't blow out teams and supposedly is "nice" to coaches that worked under him.

Bullshit. Andy is a cold-blooded killer playing 5D chess while everyone else is playing checkers. Just when you think you've figured him out, he pulls out a new trick you've never seen before, tears your heart out, and shoves it right in your face.
