If he were ever out there building his body to be utilized as a blocker, I'd be SHOCKED.

He's always been a move TE and has always been utilized that way. I'm guessing he's always tried to work his body as far towards that side of the ledger as possible.

Then he just uses natural strength and intelligence to get his angles right and get his blocks made.

If he could've made himself an even more dangerous receiving TE -- he would've. That's always been first, 2nd and 3rd in what we ask for him. The blocking has always been a happy accident.

The issue just appeared to be a guy that expected to play his way into shape and learned the hard way that he can't do that anymore. Because we sure had a lot of folks saying "He'll turn it on when he has to..." and when he tried vs. Buffalo and Philly, there wasn't any gas left in the tank.

Playoff Kelce isn't a switch to flip anymore. He has to prepare this offseason like he's playing 20 post-season games or I don't think we're gonna be telling our kids about the Travis Kelce farewell tour. It won't be Willie Mays as a Met, but it won't be something we'll enjoy a great deal. Watching him run 3 routes and then spend the rest of the drive gasping for air on the sidelines won't be the way I want to see him go out.

I’m hoping that if he knows for sure that this is going to be his last year that he’ll be able to lock in and fully commit himself, fitness and nutrition wise, for 11 more months.

11 more months of grinding it out and working himself into peak condition and then he has the rest of his life to trot the globe and party and let himself go.

Just lock in for one more year and then you’re done and never have to do it again.

Agree.

If this is it, go out with a bang. Don’t show up with a guy again.

Honestly he needs to stop drinking and focus on taking care of his body.

That is the one thing Tony has on him. He treated his body like a temple at this stage of his career. Kelce still likes to party like he is in his 20s.
