FWIW, I'm not blindly ignoring the history of it either. But the Chiefs medical/training staff is ELITE and I've no doubt they exahusted all pertinent info/research/precedence before giving Veach the green light. That gives me more confidence in the pick than others. Bottomline: regardless of where we stand on the selection, we're hoping for the best. That's all that matters in the end. |

When you click on that link, is should have a page that pops up with 4 "columns". The first column is the post number. The second "column" is the actual post you made. This takes up most of the middle of the screen. The 3rd column, over toward the right side, has the word "Good" (thumbs up), or "Bad" (thumbs down). The last "column" tells you who gave you the thumbs up or down. |

Oh, cupcake. You misunderstand. When you go on a downvote spree, it’s a clear sign that … you have nothing. No words to respond. It doesn’t make the recipient angry. It makes the recipient chortle at the tap-out you’re signaling. Downvote away. What you don’t realize is that you’re pissing into the wind … and it’s not rain that’s splattering all over you. It’s the wet stench of surrender.

I just figure-
Meh, we've had some first round picks flop. Hell, we've had some second round picks flop. We've gotten by, as we've had a bunch of late round picks flourish. Simmons is a big risk, but man, if he hits it's a game changer. If he flops, well, we've got Moore on a reasonable deal. |

If Simmons turns into the franchise Left Tackle for the next 12 years then the rest of the entire draft is utterly meaningless. It's sort of like the Mahomes draft. I don't even remember who we took in the Mahomes class. Nothing else mattered besides Mahomes. Because Mahomes will be here for 15 plus years. |

I think the extra pick from Sneed and the Chiefs not trading away assets, but rather gaining one, helped the risk allocation for them. We’ve had 7 LT’s in 4 years since Eric Fisher ruptured his Achilles. They have done everything possible to try to fix tackle using a 1st, 2nd and two 3rd’s as well as paying top dollar for Taylor and none it has brought the dividends they hoped for. Without injury I’d guarantee this kid is a top 10 pick in this draft and everyone from Nick Saban, Matt Miller, Todd McShay and Louis Riddick echoed those comments. They’re banking on him being *at worst* a decent playable LT that is young, and man even an average LT would such a dramatic upgrade for this offense. Per the analytics, LT was responsible for 34% of pressure responsibility last year, which was over 20% higher than the 2nd worst team at 28%. Keep in mind that the offense had to have training wheels put on it and have half of the plays taken out bc of the LT and injuries to skill players, so that 34% may be a little kind for what reality showed on tape. They’re very desperate and I can’t blame them

The whole draft hinges on Simmons. Everybody could be completely and totally bust, but if Simmons hits then the draft is a massive success. The whole draft is about Simmons. |
