No, but you don’t understand - they don’t like it when they see a confident black man!

Meh. NFL teams will draft or trade for anyone they think can help them win. The guy video skips over well he is not elite at anything. Skips over the interviews. Acts like Deion's only problem is he is a confident black man. Also acts like there are 10 teams looking for a qb and trys to imply all are starting spots which is flat out wrong.

So you have a qb with average arm strength, who had the best training, that is not going to take a huge jump. Who blew a lot of interviews because he was not prepared. Did not show proper football knowledge or being able to work with the coach. The video guy acts like a gm and coach should bet their career because that is what your doing if you take him in 1st 2 rounds. Deion' problem with teams is that he has access to the media. You have all of ESPN will run what he says as gospel. That is going to get someone fired. Also you have maybe 5 teams looking at starting qb, Titans were out, giants got dart who he admits same probably same draft area. Though Dart better arm, better athlete and acting like a unserious podcast with Gruden is the same as a NFL team interview is stupid. So Tomlin pitt did not want him. Probably still wants Roger's. Cleveland handled it perfectly cause they got him. The Saints and Seatle passed. Both qb's probably better arm strentgh. So what 3 teams, did not like him. None of whom would want him starting. With the 2026 draft looking to be a lot better for QB's.

He’s from Compton so I suppose he may have seen a lot of gang violence growing up. I’d consider him more of an empowerment/conscious rapper type but he definitely does dabble in the gangster rap topics.

J Cole is definitely a conscious rapper. He never talks about killing and selling drugs. I believe his mom is/was actually a crack addict.

Travis Scott is really commercially successful, Eminem dropped an album within the last year or two, Future is still pretty big. None of those guys really talk about gang shit.

It’s pretty easy to rap about shit like money, cars, clothes, jewelry, women, and partying. Shedeur knows a lot about those topics, I’m sure.
Very true with what you said but again as I said, I do not know Shedeur and was just talking shit over a small clip. You could be right but you could be wrong. You dont know him either.

And how convenient you leave out guys like Future, Lil Baby. Lil Durk and 42 Dugg. All top rappers right now although Durk fell off due to his incarceration.

But all good and not a big deal. We will see if he can prove the haters wrong. Purdy was drafted in 7th and has done well for himself. Plenty of other examples. Jury is still out.

It seems to me that there are three kinds of non-football risks that players carry, and teams long underrated them. Now they're finally figuring it out.

The first risk is that a player's off-field stuff will cost them games. This one is a little more obvious than the second type. Isaiah Bond seems to currently fit this category. You can't be a star if you can't get onto the field. Guys with substance abuse issues and criminal issues fall into this category. (I didn't pay attention, but now I wonder what the differences were between Mike Green and Isaiah Bond. One took a mild hit in the draft, and the other basically saw his career end.)

The second risk is the one that I think teams are catching on to belatedly. A guy might show up and be such a jerk or prima donna that he makes the team worse even if he's good individually. Antonio Brown is a good example of this, and Terrell Owens should have been.

The third risk is probably more well-known, in that the player may not have the attitude to play at a professional level, in terms of putting in the work. Johnny Manziel, anyone?

Sanders seems to embody both the second AND third type of risk, magnified greatly by his father. That's a lot of baggage that coaches don't like.

I worry a bit about Rashee Rice falling into both the first and the second. I didn't appreciate him barking at Patrick Mahomes II in the Super Bowl. I hope that guy gets his act together.

I actually did mention Future. He might mention killing or selling drugs sometimes but he’s more of a guy who raps about doing drugs lol

Tbh, I just Googled “most streamed rappers 2024” and it was Drake, Kendrick, Eminem, Travis Scott, Kanye West, Future, Playboi Carti and a couple other guys I don’t remember. I don’t ever listen to Playboi Carti so idk about his material but none of the other guys are what I’d consider gangster rappers.

Also, my point was never that some rappers don’t rap about killing and what not; my point was that you can rap about things other than that. The idea that you have to have lived a hard, gang life in the ghetto in order to rap is just not based in reality. The most commercially successful rappers over the last 15 years or so prove that.

Rap content aside, I bet the parts of the house where the servants lived were scary and dangerous to Shadeur.

Deion had a really big house, but they say that people tend to spend most of their time in a 500-square foot area. I'm guessing it was this room.
