I've watched the first 6 episodes of S2. Was there anything in S1 that explained more about Kleya? She is sort of Luthens assistant but there is a weird power dynamic there. Has there been any backstory to her? How she got in that position or why she's dedicated her life to it

I have one more episode left and holy shit they need to get this guy to produce everything Star Wars from now on. Episode 8 was absolutely incredible. Just an insanely good season and if IMDB is right, then the finale is an absolute banger as well.

Yeah - sometimes she seems like the power behind the power. Other times she's getting brow-beaten.

That feels like bad writing, but maybe there's an explanation for it we just don't have yet.

But I've thought that power dynamic was bizarre for her entire arc.

I think it's a matter of her having skills and a role that Luthen needs desperately. He can't accomplish his goals without her, she knows it, and that gives her power in their dynamic.
