O'Hearn doesn't make any sense. At all.

He's a lefthanded bat (good), but his history with the Royals is bad (bad) and he's a DH/1B who can get by in RF in small parks but would be a liability in Kaufman.

Cedric Mullins is the Oriole trade target that would make the most sense.

I have to say this about Isbel. Having been his biggest detractor for the past few years, he has played a passable Center this year and at the plate he is average, which is essentially his ceiling. He is not the problem on offense right now, and I'll take what we're getting from him. This is my attempt at eating crow as it stands through a portion of the season. Hope he keeps it up.

Isbel's problem has always been guilt by association. He generally plays good enough defense and does enough of what you would expect from a 9 hole hitter to not be an issue. But because his OF mates suck so badly at most facets of the game (Waters is looking like an exception), he gets lumped in as sucking along with them. If Isbel was surrounded by OFs who could, you know, hit...no one would really care what he was doing so long as he wasn't a liability, which he isn't.

Isabel plays excellent defense. He isn’t prime LoCain, but he is way above average defensively. I think he is consistently top 3 defensively in center for runs saved.

That's where he is this year. Only CF better so far this year are Rafaela for the Red Sox and Pete Crow Armstrong who has been playing out of his mind for the Cubs. That's why they play him so much, he's consistently one of the best 3-4 CFers and is at least bringing something to the table to help the pitching staff.

Isbel is absolutely taking in the month of May. Has an OPS of 1.183, his BA is .400 for the month, and a SLG of .760.

Through the end of April he was batting .244 with a .577 OPS. His incredible start to the month has raised his BA 36 points and his OPS has raised 151 points. He has respectable hitting stats now considering his excellent D. I doubt he keeps this up or anything close to it.
