Agree to disagree I guess. I think Q is a fantastic manager and handles the bullpen better than any Royals' manager I can think of. How many times has the bullpen cost us a game where the offense actually produced?

****ing Renfroe lost the game rolling over into a weak ass double play with two on no out.

Waste of space.

I'd rather see MJ Melendez.

No, but never letting Erceg pitch more than one inning, even after only throwing 12 pitches is just stupid. That's not burning up the bullpen. The offense or lack thereof is the reason we lose, but to stick your head in the sand and not point out where Q is wrong isn't right either. No one wants Matheny back either.

Royals suck again. I'm back to only supporting the Kansas City Chiefs.

Erceg pitched the seventh and eighth innings. He got their best two hitters out in Pena and Altuve in the eighth. Erceg came in when he was needed in the fireman role in seventh inning when Bubic was starting to show weaknesses. Considering warm up time getting hot that counts as pitching counts just as much. Throwing him out for the ninth would be silly. He wouldn't be available today for one. Chasing wins in May is what screws bullpen. The ninth was going to be Charlie Sheens if we took the lead or go to the extra innings strategy. Schreiber is a ground ball pitcher and Enron being a bandbox was a good choice. He made one bad pitch and got Crawford boxed.

You realize he pitched 2 innings, right?

Erceg had done his job for the night. Q did his. Schreiber didn't (which hasn't happened in a while).

You can't win many baseball games when you score only one run.

This loss is 100% on the offense, not the pitching.

Newsflash! The Royals are going to lose 70+ games this year. You can’t win every night.
