Coming off an American League Divisional Series appearance, its year 3 of Matt Quatraro tenure. Can they take the next step to a division title? Can Bobby Witt, Jr. take his superstar status to another level? Can Cole Ragans develop more? Will the other starting pitching duplicate last season? The offense can it deliver more? Who will be in the outfield? How about the new stadium development?

I am hoping that guys like Blake Mitchell are on the list to be traded. There is still some shine to him, but they need to turn him into an OF bat before that shine comes off.

Huh. They seem serious about converting Caglianone. Don't really get why now that Pasquantino seems to be a total pumpkin post injury.

They should be looking at options there, but I’m not sure what trade piece is worth a top 100 guy.

I wouldn’t move that for a rental - not these days.

I don’t know who a guy with control on a bad team is that you’d really want.

Bryan Reynolds if he wasn’t having an awful year would fit the bill.

Maybe you can convince the Rays to give up Joshua Lowe for Mitchell + a little extra.

He’s injury prone but talented and is a lefty who can hit and hit for power and run and plays pretty good OF.

Turning him into an outfielder would take all the shine off. He went #8 overall for the profile of good defensive catcher with a great arm that hits like a 1B/DH. If he's an actual 1B/DH or outfielder, meh, he's just a guy.

He was taken out of high school. In 2026, he will just be turning the age that the Cam Smith and Nick Kurtz's of the world were last year. Then give him a few years from there to develop. We talking 2028-2029ish for his ETA. Gotta be patient with him. He's probably viewed as the Salvy successor and Salvy ain't done yet.

Ok this is the last straw. It is time to DFA Biggio and Renfroe. No I am not saying to bring up Caglianone, yet.

Cavan Biggio has a .546 OPS and 0.0 WAR

Hunter Renfroe has a .452 OPS and -1.5 WAR

This is madness. And it is completely EXPECTED! We have guys who we don't have to worry about service time to fill in right now and we would immediately get better.

Loftin couldn't hit in the MLB and he still was better than Biggio offensively. Plus he has upside. Can play as many positions as Biggio and play them better than him. He is playing great in Omaha right now. Around .940 ops last I checked in AAA.

Bring up Blanco or John Rave. It doesn't really matter. They would be around a replacement level player.

Stop the madness.

Massey also has a chance to actually turn it around though. He's started to heat up in May. OPSing .736 for the month.

So it’s a WS tribute weekend for the 1985 and 2015 Royals…. Got me thinking, what’s the all-time Royals lineup? My only rule is the player must have played at least parts of three seasons with the Royals. So no Harmon Killebrew, Gaylord Perry or Orlando Cepeda type stuff.

Ton of speed on this team and an airtight bullpen. Not a lot of power, but a lot of timely hitting. Scoring runs shouldn’t be a problem. Only wrinkle on defense is Mike Sweeney at first, gold gloves at pretty much every other position. Wish the pitching had a lefty or two, but I feel good about this staff. Lot of Cy Young awards there, and I’m pretty convinced if Sabes and Ape don’t get hurt, they’d be HOFers. How about you, whaddya got?
