I'd love for the Chiefs to draft Sproles, but I don't know what we'd do with him. He isn't going to replace Dante Hall as KR/PR specialist. He isn't going to be turned into a WR like Dante was. He, in my view, is too small to be a starting RB and take over for Priest when he retires. I guess he could be a backup to Priest, but that would be a waste if he can't become a full time starter. He could be a really good 3rd down RB, but that would be a waste of a roster spot, wouldn't it?

late 1st or 2nd rounder even........dude has alot of talent but is too small unfortunatly...he does have alot of heart though which you cant discount. The guy he reminds me alot of is Napoleon Kauffman who had a few nice years with the Raiders.

Napoleon was 5'9" 185 - similar size, I agree.

So.........can he be a starting NFL RB? Should the Chiefs draft him?

I like Sproles alot, I think he would do good in our offense. KC kid thats why I love him on the team but if we win it all this year and Priest retires then yes draft him. But if not then no.

After watching the Chiefs / Bronco's game, I hope the Chief trade Larry Johnson to Tampa Bay for Keenan McCardell. Then, next year, we draft Sproles to eventually replace Holmes.

3rd down back or Kick returner..........3-4th round....not to the Chiefs.
Troy Davis was a smaller back, rushed for 2000 yards in 2 consecutive seasons, and wasn't an early selection either. |
