Actually I took a couple of weeks and went to Palm Springs to play golf, it was very enjoyable. It is obvious that nothing changed, you still think you know more about football than Carl and Dick. I think you should relieve yourself, it might increase the blood flow to the right places.

Well in 15 years Peterson sure hasn't proven he is a lock to know more about football than gochiefs or skinbra....

Putting Vermeil and Peterson in the same sentence about football knowledge is an insult to Vermeil.

I respect your opinion on that however: Prior to Carl Peterson the Chiefs were absolutly woeful. Carl has done a lot of good things and he has made his share of mistakes. One thing about mistakes, anyone that is doing something will make them.

It is probably time for a change and it looks like it is going to happen.

Peterson hasn't made too many good decisions but love him or hate him his decision to hire Marty was a good one...While Marty is too conservative to probably ever be able to win Super Bowl rings he does bring a style that allows for a very competitive breed of football and that was sorely needed at the time he was hired. That decision really rallied a desparate fan base and for that Peterson deserves credit. Since then, the collection of major decisions he has made wouldn't have turned out much worse had we let a 6 year old make them.

His free agent decisions, at the end of the Marty era, to get them over the hump were the worst. IMO Dan Williams was the worst thing that ever happened to the Chiefs. However, I remember when I heard that he had signed PH that I was ecstactic. I think his decision to bring in DV was perfect due to the fact that the Chiefs were at the laughing stock of the NFL stage. DV bringing in profile players has restored respect to the franchise, even though they have not yet accomplished what a lot of fans think is the only sign of success, a Super Bowl Victory.

The DV decision I feel is pretty neutral. Good coach but was old and cost us a 2nd and 3rd round pick to get him. Pretty pricey considering his age. 4 years later I would still say I am pretty neutral on it. Easily argued that it was a bad decision considering 3 of the 4 years were non-playoff seasons and hasn't even won a single playoff game. But that aside I would say that Peterson's meddling with personel decisions is at the heart of DV's failure. Didn't go out and upgrade the defensive talent this past offseason, forced DV to draft LJ in the 1st round when they needed defensive help etc.etc....

As for Priest, that certianly turned out to be a huge HR....Watching the "Beyond The Glory" episode on Holmes that signing was actually Vermeil's choice or at least that is how it appeared based on what Priest said. Regardless, the same of that is despite having one of the best 2 or 3 RB's in the leauge with that signing they haven't been able to even take advantage of it and win a single playoff game.
