I think it may have been your cowboy riding the milk cow that ran them off. Here, try this one:

Nice call. Some of those porters and stouts are decent beers though.

To be honest Zach, I have found some of the smaller microbrew brands (the locals) to be the best in the stout and porter department. When I was up fishing in Homer Alaska last summer, one of the local microbrew stouts was fantastic. I have brewed up a dozen of so of each and most of them were great. The only problem with brewing either.... is it takes a lot of time for them to be ready.

Anchor Porter is pretty easy to find at bars and is pretty good stuff. I guess dark beer is an acquired taste but i picked it up quick. I started with porters and then moved into stouts. But i still prefer porters.

Samuel Smiths Taddy porter is my favorite so far.

Stick with the wheats and the Pilsners... Once your tastebuds acclimate themselves, move up to the Ales and then the IPAs. From there start dipping into the porters.

We used to do a thing called "The Ladder." I'm sure we're not the only ones... Up and down the ladder... It'll do the trick.

Another great premium import you may like

You have to be careful where you order it cause it can get overpriced.
