Seriously, Marlin Jackson is supposed to be the be-all and end-all to save the Colts defense. We add three guys who can play at Pro Bowl level, a pass rusher who had 8 sacks a couple years ago, and arguably the best defensive player in college football, and we may have not done enough. That is devoid of logic.

The whole thing is pretty laughable. One of my favorite gems.
Buffalo Bills 14 "The defense will be good again, but the team's fate rests with J.P. Losman. Is he this year's Roethlisberger?" Ummm, no. No he will not. Roethlisberger is light years ahead of Losman's cocky ass.

Oakland at 13 is idiotic. Forget that they had the league's worst defense in terms of points given up last year and have not done anything to fix it. Forget that they reached on two corners in rounds one and two of the draft. Forget that they lost two of their only decent defensive players.
Forget all this, because they got Moss!!!~!!@!11one Also, forget that Prisco was the guy that had DJ going to the Lions at #10, but didn't think he was a good pick for us at #15. Forget that he was too stupid to check a draft tracker while he was writing his post draft grades so he marked us down and said we shouldn't have drafted a punter in the 2nd round. |

I don't like it and I think he is wrong but if I was an oddsmaker I would probably place the Chiefs towards the middle. I will say again I think the Chiefs will go 11-5 and win their division and even reach the AFC championship game if not better.
But here is why I would put them in the middle if I was an oddsmaker. Odds are the offense will fall off significantly 3 years on top is amazing 4 would be unprecedented and unlikely. Odds are they drop down to around 10. Though they will likely have a minimum of 5 different/new starters on defense odds are it will take time for them to gel and with our killer schedule for the first 9 games odds would say that is quite a few losses. Lack of defensive depth, the improvement is going to come from those different/new starters if even one of them goes down it is likely to hurt significantly if it is either Bell or Surtain it will likely be devastating. Lack of O-line depth and an aging offensive line is a scary prospect OK now having said all that: I believe we will still finish top 5 offense I believe we will finish in the top 12 defensively I believe that we had a really awful year injury wise and that balance says we are more fortunate this year. |
