Of course the next game will be neutral...

But yes, the BCS is stupid.

I was listening to ESPN Radio on my way to work Friday morning, and Dave Revsine (I think) did one of those pre-recorded counterpoints in which he submitted the theory that the BCS works, because it makes NCAA football the only sport in which the regular season is relevant.

What a dumbass.

Watch the NFL playoff chase, and tell me again that the NCAA football is the only relevant regular season.

Yea, but in the NFL if you lose a game in week 4, or 6, or 9 your title hopes are not over. In NCAA football, they very well might be.

But even if you lose in the last game of the season, you still may not be out of the picture.

Do we know yet if Michigan or Florida is going to Glendale?

Yup, with almost every group having their own championship game we are already very close to having a playoff system in place.

7pm central tonight. Florida moved to #2 in both polls though, so it's a good start.

Okay, two things:

1) BCS invitation "show" is at 8 pm EST

2) The argument that "Michigan had their chance" is ridiculous, they are in the same conference monkey brains, we can't help it that we were the best two teams this year, we had to play each other...heh.
As an addendum to this last part, the first time we played, it wasn't in a playoffs, or a bowl game, doesn't matter if they already played once this year, a 3 point game is hardly blowing it. Florida and.or USc would get rolled by OSU, Michighan will provide the BEST competition against them, so get over it already.

Besides, Florida is ranked #2 so, it's not guaranteed Michigan will get the nod anyway

Yeah, if it was played in September, everyone would want a rematch. And I'm also tired of hearing how it's "not fair to OSU because they have to beat Michigan twice and Michigan only has to win once".... OSU didn't have to win the first time... had they lost the first one, they would be a stronger #2 than Michigan.

The last sentence is why I think Florida should play vs. OSU.... if OSU beats Florida, then they beat Michigan and Florida and everyone knows who's number one. If they beat Michigan again, everyone can say what they want, but no one knows what Florida or USC would have done given one game. Michigan kept it close, but it was hardly a 3 point game.

I still don't think USC would get "rolled" but we lost so that's irrevelent.

They make that regular season arguement because all the football guys that back it immediatly go into how the college basketball season is meaningless.

Yeah, but there's a difference between a 65-team playoff and an 8 to 16-team playoff.

Regular season would be as meaningful as ever.
