There's a retail spot on the first floor of my office building, and it's been vacant for about a year. When we moved in, there was a decent deli-type place there, which had pretty good food but a really bad ambiance. They shut down about three months after we moved in, though.

Then another deli-type place opened, following the very intelligent rule of "Let's open the exact same business that just went bankrupt in the exact same location, but let's run it poorly." They had bad food, a horrible ambiance, and were unfriendly, and they lasted about six months.

Now my dreams have come true. There's been a lot of work going on, and the place is going to be a combination sushi/oriental food restaurant. They're really making it look good, too - the type of place where you would actually go and eat as opposed to just getting it to go and eating at your desk.

I love Chinese food and sushi. In the cold weather, I can just take the elevator to the first floor, walk in, and voila! Food! I'm hoping that their food is good and affordable, so I can make this place the Cheers to my Norm, the Mel's Diner to my Flo, the Warsaw Tavern to my Drew Carey. I want it to happen, I want it to happen, I want it to happen. (Clicking red shoes together.)

That's cool. It's always good to have a place. Like when you were in school and all your friends would sit in the same spot everyday. In an office I used to work at there was a pizza place downstairs. Good pizza, but one time when we were eating there I saw one of the workers picking at a big unprotected scab on his arm. Decided not to eat there again.

Redrum's mom is like the 2 for one special down at the local 99cent clearance center. Very cheap, but seems like a bargain, and everyone comes back for more.
