It was excruciating. As far as emotion, it was the same as the Chiefs & Colts playoff game.... a game that had little entertainment value, yet I kept watching. I would have been better off doing something else and seeing the final score..... and it has nothing to do with "fair weather" or even that Kansas was losing... it was that bad, regardless of the final score.

After Arthur got shoved under the defensive basket, one of the guys said "he shouldn't allow himself to be knocked back like that"..... Uh, he also shouldn't have to deal with a forearm in the chest. It was like watching a hockey game with 16 players on the ice.

I really hope we get out of this region... I don't want the last game of the season to be a rerun of this against UCLA or Pitt.

KU played poorly and they got a win. It wasn't a feel good we toughed it out and came back swinging type win. It was just a win. I'm not sure who the blame falls on here but either Self made no halftime adjustments whatsoever or the KU players totally ignored him. Whichever it was, it better change and change quickly. KU played directly into what SIU wanted to do and KU should have run this team out of the gym. Here's to hoping things are better next game.

Exactly right. How can you judge a player when you have only seen one game? He even admitted that he doesn't watch college hoops/doesn't interest him.

I have no idea where this kind of thinking comes from. SIU belonged there. They weren't a 4 seed and in the 16 by accident.

How do you know it iced the shooter? It is entirely possible that Wright misses the shot even if no timeout was called. Remember, Wright is not a very good FT shooter. He's a great player but that is his main weakness.

C'mon, Laz. You and I agree on a lot of things KU. But man, you're completely wrong on this one.

I gotta admit that I was impressed by their scrappiness. I have said it all week long and I'll say it again. SIU is a top ranked team for a reason. That is a well coached, tough, physical team. Great game, SIU.

you eloquently found my words. Right after that game was over, there was a weird calm feeling that I have never known. heh. Weird.

I'd rather win ugly than lose pretty. Much respect to SIU.

I'll bite... When Roy's teams were faced with this type of adversity, they usually lost. Who knows what Roy would have done in this particular game, but Self's kids have learned to win any type of game.. something I've never seen before with Kansas.
