Croyle without question.
Huard isn't the future of this team. Huard is NOT a starting QB in the NFL. Not only has he been able to land a starting gig in all the time he's been in the NFL, he didn't even garner much interest as a starter by other teams before extending his contract here last spring. Starting Huard just wastes crucial developement time for Croyle. The ONLY way I start Huard first is if our OL can't protect a QB. The only way Croyle can learn is to take snaps. The absolute worst that can happen under Croyle is we lose a bunch of games, realize he isn't our QBOTF and have a high draft pick for a QB in '08. Huard might limp us along into the playoffs. But we will depend heavily on LJ again, run him into the ground, maybe out, and still get knocked out of the first round. Croyle on the other hand, if he gets playing time, by the end of the season he could be rather surprising and if we make the playoffs with him, I think he'd give us a chance to win in the playoffs. Like I said in another thread, if Huard is going to be our starter this season, we should cut Croyle all together because we'll just end up wasting him on the bench anyway.

it depends.
If the Chiefs suck this year, I wouldn't mind if Croyle started because they have nothing to lose. But with LJ back there, and possibly a good defense, I wouldn't mind if Huard started either. As long as he does what he did last year. Just play a simple style, and don't turn the ball over or try to win us games either. I think he could do that. *Too be honest with you, I have mixed feelings about who to start |

IMO this season isn't about W-L its about getting ready for a Super Bowl run in 08 and 09 so Brodie is my guy.
Even if I thought this team was a contender this year I would still pick Croyle because of his arm and mobility. Plus Huard has done NOTHING to win this job in preseason. Croyle has atleast shown flashes. |

Why aren't Terrel or Printers included in this? They've both outshown those other two slap-nuts.

Whether we want to come to terms or not, this is a rebuilding year. I haven't been too excited about Croyle but with an inept offensive coaching staff, it's hard anyway. I say go with Croyle. Let him learn the way Manning learned. If he's worth anything, he'll get it sooner than later.

Huard went 5-3 last year as a starter. Not too bad. Who knows what could happen if he actually had a chance to start under center. The man is 10-4 as a starter throughout his career. Not too shabby, eh? Played backup to Dan Marino and Tom Brady. What happens if Brodie plays the season and does terrible? Everybody says, "Oh, he's young and we need to give him another shot" Next thing you know, we have another Rex Grossman (strong arm and can make plays, but a lot of those plays are bad) on our hands, thinking he's our future quarterback when in all actuality he's worse than Huard.
