First Original Eagles Album out at midnight-01

The first Eagles original album since The Long Run is out tonight at 12:01am at Walmart's for $11.88. I listened to it online today and it sounds pretty good. It's a double album (20 songs).

I'm stoked though, as The Eagles have been one of my favorite bands since I was in junior high (went to see "Hell Freezes.." in the 9th grade). Absolutely one of the greatest bands ever. They aren't "rockers" in the sense that the Stones were and they aren't the artists that the "Beatles" were, but they made countless solid, and extremely listenable tunes with great melodies and phenomenal harmonies.

I thought of that scene too.

I've seen them three times - twice on the Hell Freezes Over tour and once at Milwaukee Summerfest about five years ago. They are magnificent in concert.

I'll pick this new CD up. Just wish I didn't have to go to fucking Walmart to do it. Our local Walmart is a shithole.

I love Joe Walsh, but the rest of them annoy me.

I'm glad to hear that those who bought the record are enjoying it.

For me, no Don Felder = not the Eagles. Without Don's amazing guitar work, it's just not the same.

D. Henley is the most bitter human being I've ever met. Much more bitter than people who are probably just as talented though have .000056% of his bank account. He sickens me.

I hope you all enjoy the record!

I'm listening to it right now. Only on the third song of disc 1, but so far, it's pretty damn good. I really liked the harmony of "No More Walks In the Wood".

Henley's always struck me as a complete douche, but I love his work. However, I hope seeing him perform live is the closest I ever come to meeting him.
