I agree with jettio that Peterson will probably leave at the end of his current contract and that he's earned the opportunity to leave on his own terms. Say what you will about the last 19 years, but they were better than the 16 or 17 years before that by far. What seems ironic to me is that after all these years of people pining for a really bad season so we could get a top pick in the draft instead of going 9-7 or 7-9 as we try to rebuild on the fly, now that they get it they want heads to roll. I can wait a couple more years to see if Carl/Herm can get things back in order before going in a different direction. I don't see any reason to think a different, unspecified GM would have a better chance of getting us to the SB than Peterson in that time period.

Part of wanting the awful year has to do with wanting Carl out of here....

I like how Carl has been basically horrible for the past 10 years and some people think he's earned his right go out on his own terms....morons I swear.
