The ChiefsPlanet Missing Persons Thread

Seems like threads like these come up often enough that it's worth having a central location. Anyway...

Cochise has been absent for several months. Somebody said something cryptic about him being gone but refused to elaborate on it.

Personally, I'm absent from home because my internet is down (Comcast sucks major balls).

No. Their service is abyssmal. For years it was OK, other than the high price, until recently; for the past few months I've had regular outages. I was gone over the weekend and came back to no service - the earliest they can get somebody out is Friday, and there's at least a 50/50 chance nobody will show. Bastards. I tried to switch ISPs in June, only to find out that AT&T couldn't offer service to my address (after I was told they could). So I basically switched my cheap, no-hassle phone service to AT&T, which is almost double in price, for nothing, and can't switch back because my old phone company got eaten by another company and no longer opens new residential accounts. Talk about Catch 22. So now I've signed up for Earthlink DSL, and I've got my fingers crossed that the same thing won't happen again. If it does, it's either Comcast or dial-up.

Decent, or even acceptable, customer service is DEAD in this country. Dead, buried and gone. Verizon, DirecTV, Comcast, AT&T, Sprint - they're all the same. Awful.

Unfortunately, it's been that way for almost 2 decades. Good luck with it dude, it sucks when you have to pay for nothing.

Face said he and a few others ended up on a "waiting to confirm account" list, or something. I think he mentioned OldTownChief, as well.

I've wondered if the new poster markk was really Cochise.

Married life is gooooooooood! It's good to not have to worry about the wedding any longer, that much is certain.

As far as my crap goes, it is safe. We've been living together since December. It didn't feel right moving her 500 miles then making her get an apartment.

I wish she'd throw some of it out though. I've got a lot of shit.

How are things up north?
