I'd give a second and maybe a fourth. Let's speak realistically here. You've lost two years to develop him and the Browns probably don't want his giant-ass salary for a backup.

More than likely.
Depending on how this college season goes, and who declares..I think he's definitely a great prospect, and we'd be lucky to take him away from the Browns. |

Why would his value have increased from ~#22 overall to #5 overall?

Nah, he's a dick.
Besides, we have our quarterback. He was good enough to outduel Carson Palmer and Philip Rivers last year. He was good enough to outduel Marc Bulger and THE AMAZING MATT LEINART the year before. Huard has 4-5 good years left. Then we can find our young QB!

Top 5? No. Not unless he plays in the regular season and proves something. There is a reason Quinn fell so far in the draft, he isn't an elite qb prospect.

Absolutely not.
If we end up with a top-5 pick, take BPA and sign McNabb. We still need a CB, a MLB, another WR and another OT. We're not just a QB away, no sense in reaching for one just yet. If they'd consider a 2nd rounder for him, I'd do it. I might even consider swapping firsts, but I absolutely wouldn't give up the 1st straight up. |

Think about it...
We trade our pick for Quinn...we get a top 5 talent QB...probably more NFL ready and a better prospect than anyone in next years class (him and Stafford are similar, come on)...yet you are paying him like a #21 overall pick... Not only does it make sense, but financially, it's totally reasonable. But if Derek Anderson turns in a few more performances like he did today, we might be talking about trading a 3rd for Derek Anderson instead =) |

I would, absolutely. The Browns will likely have to deal him after this year as they've got a massive salary and a first round pick that will look mighty inticing to use as trade bait once they under achieve again this year.
