There won't be any lawsuit. These punks hardly ever ask for your ID after they get a beat down.

Yeah, but there is a flipside to this mentality.

About a month ago, I had to stop by our local pet store to pick up a bag of California Natural for one of my Labs (the other's on different food). I had been to Costco, Ralphs (grocery store), etc. Just doing my stops and errands for my family that I do every 10 days or so.

I've been going to this particular pet store for more than five years. They have an AMAZING deal on grooming. For $25, they wash, dry, expunge anal glands, clean ears and clip nails! The bad thing though is that they share a small parking lot and a four merchant "strip" with one of the most popular sushi places around (and it is awesome). They have a valet service and those ****ers speed through there every time I've been there in the past 5 years, so much so that I try to avoid their hours when taking my poochies.

Anyway, short story long, I pull into the lot and of course it's full. I'm patiently waiting in my car as another person is pulling out of a spot when in comes speeding an Escalade. He almost hits me and the Audi backing up. I look over, only to see a valet driver staring down at me (I'm in a Lexus SUV - they're short). He looks directly in my eyes and says "**** YOU".

I couldn't believe it. I mean, I seriously could NOT believe it. So I park my car, walk towards the store and this guy gets up into my face. "You got a problem, Holmes?". "Yeah, you almost hit me and almost hit that other car". He says "I didn't see it that way, Holmes. You got a problem with me?". At that point, I just started to walk towards the store but he pushed his chest into mine. "Alright, Mother****er!" I said and I push him with my right arm. Suddenly, he was picking himself up off the ground and challenging me to a fight!

He asked his boss "Can I fight him? Can I fight him"? And his boss says "Not in the lot. Over there, on the side walk". WTF? The next thing I know, this guy is taking off his shirt and wants to ****ing fight me! As much as I wanted to go over and beat the living shit out of this guy (I'm 6'1, 215 and this guy was like 5'7, 200), I immediately thought of my wife, my poochies, my newborn and my Umbrella policy! So reluctantly, I said to myself, **** it. And walked away. Plus, what if the guy had a knife or a gun? I'm gonna die because of some imbecile in a parking lot?

I called the Sushi place to let them know about their valet company, but no one there could understand English and unfortunately, I don't speak Japanese.

The bottom line is that people from both ends of the spectrum pull this shit.

Last night I got a call just before I was leaving work from one of my best buds from high school. His boss has crown seats, and had 4 of them for last night's game. My wife and I were going to go out for dinner, so instead we went to the game with my friend and his wife. Royals lost, but man, those crown seats are great. And the food before the game: salmon, chicken, prime rib, shrimp, about 12 different desserts (I had carrot cake...yum) and all the Boulevard Beer you want.

Tickets are $185, but mine was free. Tipped our waitress $40. She waited on us from the time we hit the door to the end of the game.

Scanned a pic of the ticket so you can see what they look like. If you ever get a chance to go sit in the crown seats, do it. And don't start a fight!
