My guess is that there is something to the rumor that Downfield is in Herm's sock drawer and/or they're going to try and resurrect the rollout this weekend. That makes Thiggy the best (read; only) choice. Then, when they ask Herm about it, he starts spewing out a continuing series of trite phrases in the hope that his response will take up so much time the reporters will have to move on to the next question.

Still, with luck, the Muse of Finely Placed Balls will strike like lightning on Sunday and Thiggy will put up 300 yards, 4 touchdowns, and the Chiefs will have found their quarterback at long last.
