I thought they were but I thought there had been talk of them moving up in the future. Or, they could be IAA after the move; I can't remember, but I have a good friend who is a professor there and we talked about this several years ago.

![]() I was at the KU game last night. Couple of things I noticed. The team looked a little flat early on. Running game is really struggling. Although, I think Quigley did look better than the other guys have looked(he got the start). Crawford did start to get going a little better in the second half. Sharp didn't carry until late when they started putting in the backups. The only play Sharp got until the mass subbed was on kick coverages. Mangino must really be pissed at Sharp. This team's offensive line (specifically tackles and run blocking) are what will keep them from challenging for the north. Well, that and MU obviously. I think they have a good chance to make a bowl game, but nothing nearly as high as last year (I am really starting to question my prediction of 9 wins). That will based a lot on Reesing's awesomeness. The defense did not look good pass defending. The main reasons were Rhett Bomar and freshman KU CBs. Bomar, if you will recall, was the starting QB at Oklahoma a couple of years ago. He looked really, really good. I know that is in part because the KU defense was not getting a lot of pressure. Of course, that is not easy when the opposing QB is doing a lot of quick 2 or 3 step drops and getting rid of it. It also hurts to have your freshman CB (Barfield) getting burned time after time. The coaching staff apparently had enough as they put in Corrigan Powell at the other CB opposite Chris Harris in the 2nd half with not much better results. Speaking of Harris, that guy is rock solid. Too bad we don't have 3 or 4 Chrs Harris's. We could really use Kendrick Harper's experience right now. Hope he is healthy in a couple of weeks when we start Big 12 play. Either way, Bomar was making some excellent throws. There were many times where he was putting the ball in tight spots right on the money. Plus, he made good reads most of the night. One of his INTs was on a tipped ball by his WR who was open. Not a bad decision on his part. It was kind of weird seeing some of the backups getting playing time last night. I think Mangino was trying to send a message. Jonathon Wilson played early on but seemed to get less time as the game went on. Briscoe didn't get as much time early on as he usually gets. I don't think I saw Daymond Patterson at the WR spot all night. Raymond Brown was the 4th WR. As mentioned before, the guy that was 3rd string at RB started. Dakota Lewis played a lot in place of Mike Rivera. I think even Arist Wrigt got some snaps at LBer. Seemed to me like Mangino was trying to send a message to his team. I hope that message was received loud and clear.
