Censorship Policy - Page 11

The users of ChiefsPlanet decided many years ago that we would censor a select few objectionable words. We decided the F-bomb, C-bomb, and N-bomb were amongst those. We have since added ANY racial slur to that list. We've also stated that any attempt to circumvent our automatic censor would result in severe punishment.

However, we've not been very consistent. For instance, I've always allowed a partially censored "fuck" to stand. I have never allowed umulats or other such methods of fooling the filter to remain if I discovered them. Our lack of consistency has recently been pointed out and I'd like to solve the issue. Please vote your preference.

Since this thread was the Planet's vote it would seem that the vast majority either abstained or did not want the censorship. I have not been able to find a final ruling on the subject, but I am still looking.

Hey, mods I would like you to revisit this issue since it is clear that the Phobia rule did not include the word with an asterik between the f and the ck. It is also clear that community voted against the stronger censorship that would remove the asterik allowance.

Or we could have the option to choose whether to see the words or not with a special censor option like other boards have.

Hey CRONUS, you're a good guy. this is really not that big of a deal. I have seen much worse elsewhere, and in fact some places would just ban you for questioning the board owners policy (even though that's pathetic, it's true). this place doesn't have too many rules as it is, and I like it that way. so why don't you just let it go? I'll even invite you to be my friend.
